Superior treats every order as a custom order by either utilizing our standard panel sizes or custom fitting to the customers specified dimensions within ˝”.
Superior’s 4” thick panels have a temperature conductivity factor (K factor) not to exceed 0.133 Btu/hr. The overall coefficient (U factor) not to exceed 0.033. The R-value is R-30 or greater. Note: 5” panels are available upon request.
Superior uses one of the most advanced foaming techniques to produce its 4” thick, 100% urethane panel. The foaming process, Autofroth® pressurized froth foaming system, has many advantages over the pour-in-place process, such as the self-insulating characteristic of the foam which makes it less sensitive to temperature variations during manufacturing.
Superior’s 4” walk-in panels have ozone depleting system utilizing water and HFC134a/R245fa as blowing agents for our Class 1 urethane that is rated according to UL Procedure 723 (ASTM E-84) tested by the Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. The urethane core has a flame spread of less than 20 and a smoke density of less than 400.
Superior’s panels are constructed with interior and exterior metal pans securely fastened to our high density urethane Super-Rail™ tongue-and-groove perimeter framing system and are assembled using an industry standard cam-action panel fastener for ease of alignment and a tight seal.
Superior uses an N.S.F. approved “double-bead” gasket on both the interior and exterior of the panel joints.
Superior’s door sections are built with a heavy duty, reinforced steel frame that makes for one of the strongest doors sections in the industry. The door sections are made without plastic, eliminating cracking and warping (foamed in- place plastic jambs are not replaceable). All doors include a removable threshold. All components in our Superior door sections are U.L. and N.S.F. approved.
Superior’s doors are made with minimal plastic to eliminate cracking and warping. Internally, we use reinforced steel (no wood).
Superior accessories include interior and exterior floor ramps, viewport windows, fluorescent lights, spring loaded door hinge, strip curtains, sloped or flat membrane roof packages for outdoor installations, glass doors, specialty doors, waterproof light switches and rain shields.
